ABOUT ME

I’m a copywriter and content creator living in Los Angeles with my wife, daughter, and two dogs.

I got into making stuff on social media during COVID (boo, I know sorry for bringing it up) because I was starved for some kind of creative outlet. I ended up loving the immediate connection you can make with an audience, and that was that.

Prior to making stuff on the internet, I spent years training/performing improv and sketch comedy at places like Second City, iO Theater, UCB NY, and The PIT Theater. During this time I was writing, directing, and acting in my own short films, sketches, etc. but never geared towards social media.

As a creator myself, I know what it’s like to make things. I know how it feels to work hard on a video only for it to get 100 views, or for that random video you spent one minute on to get millions of views. Through years of experimenting i’ve learned a ton about what works on the internet and what doesn’t.

Through social media, I started working with brands on paid posts. I really enjoy figuring out ways to make ads funny and entertaining. Brands must like it too because in the last year i’ve worked with Universal Pictures, Grillos Pickles, Sony Recordings, Century Media Records, RIOT Fest and more.

I’ve worked as a freelance copywriter for two agencies, Coomer Co and Cornett. At Cornett I worked on LEGOLAND Resorts and A&W Restaurants. I’ve also worked as an in house content creator for a lifestyle clothing brand called Kentucky for Kentucky.

My work has also gotten press in ADWEEK, Huffington Post, Rolling Stone, MetalSucks, Loudwire, Indiewire, Variety, Deadline, No Echo, New Noise, Directors Notes, Boooom TV, Film Shortage, and more.

Some other info about me - I was in a Blink 182 commercial, i’ve written a handful of tv pilots and feature scripts, i’ve also written and directed dozens of short films/comedy sketches.

In a past life I spent years touring in hardcore punk bands and working for emo bands. I started in my own band, Dead Icons (Bullet Tooth Records), and ended up playing for another as well named Call to Preserve (Facedown Records). I also worked for Emarosa (Rise Records) for a long time.
